Kids clothing is one of those things that you can’t help but love to buy. Even my friends who really can’t be bothered to go shopping, like buying clothes for their kids. It’s contagious. Even before my sister had girls, she loved shopping for my daughter. (Not that she didn’t have a love for shopping before, it just now came in a teeny tiny size).

I think it’s funny how like adults, children have different stores that they can wear their clothing. Jeans fit better in this store, tops another. I have 3 stores that I shop in for my daughter. 2 are higher end (and of course, I only buy things in the sales) and one is regular. They just fit my daughter better, their colors work with her coloring and they’re more her style. I’m not trying to rush my daughter to grow up, but I really don’t like tops that have silly immature images on them. I got my daughter a top from one of the expensive stores (one of a my major bargain finds) and it was blue and white stripped with a blue bow.

Whenever she wore it people said she looked French. She looked gorgeous in it. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get the size up…although I’m just going to tell myself that they didn’t have it the size bigger. Yea…size bigger. Think happy thoughts. I’ll guess that next time I’ll just have to buy 2 of everything. Ahh, God bless my husband’s bank account.

A couple of weeks ago we put you on the trail of the proposed new Tommy Hilfiger. The signature of a genuine American-style winks to all their fans with the new collection ‘Prep World’, an ephemeral collection which the designer summarizes the preppy style.

The temporary collection, which travels through the major cities of the world as pop-up store, has finally arrived in Madrid, settling in the central Plaza de Felipe II. The capital hosts the store these days tiemporal Tommy Hilfiger, where you can purchase the items from the collection ‘Prep World’ for just ten days.

The pop-up store of ‘Prep World’ will be in Madrid only until 3 July. The ephemeral Hilfiger store recreates a typical beach house in East Hampton, a traditional summer resort for New Yorkers. There you will find a total of sixty clothing and accessories for men and women on a limited basis.

Among the new home for this season Gucci Spring-Summer 2011 found the bag ‘New Bamboo’, a remake of one of its most iconic bags. This iconic piece of the Italian firm has been reinterpreted by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, in a newer version adapted to the latest trends.

Giannini has created a modern version of the Gucci Bamboo, a purse peccary with a bamboo handle, his trademark. Created in 1947, over the years has become a historical piece, worn by many celebrities, especially in the 50 and 60.

The new version of Bamboo retains its original size, but also has released a larger version. This time, it has a built noquel detail, and a second braided chain handle adds to the original leather strap. In addition, it also added a flirty fringe of bamboo.
